Every patient and condition is different. Some patients may notice improvement relatively quickly, while others need more time as their specialist evaluates their response and adjusts treatment. Chronic conditions often require ongoing management rather than a single treatment or quick fix. Our goal is to monitor your progress, make thoughtful adjustments, and work toward better long-term control.
Many of the conditions we treat are chronic, which means they may improve significantly but can still have periods of activity or recurrence. Treatment is focused on controlling symptoms, reducing flares, improving quality of life, and maintaining stability over time. As your condition becomes more stable, your treatment plan may also be adjusted.
Not necessarily. Medication needs can change significantly as symptoms improve and a condition becomes more stable. Our goal is to use the appropriate treatment for the individual patient while continually evaluating whether medications can be adjusted, reduced, or changed over time.
Not necessarily. Topical steroids can be an effective treatment when used appropriately, but they are only one of many treatment options available. Our specialists continually evaluate treatment response and look for opportunities to adjust therapy, minimize unnecessary medication exposure, and maintain long-term disease control.
If you're not improving as expected, your specialist will reassess your symptoms, treatment response, and other factors that may be affecting your condition. Your treatment plan may be adjusted, or other treatment options may be considered when appropriate. One of the benefits of ongoing specialist care is that treatment doesn't have to remain static when something isn't working.
Every patient's condition, medical history, treatment plan, and response to treatment are different. The experiences and photos shared on this page represent individual patients and are not a guarantee of specific results. Your specialist will develop and adjust your treatment plan based on your individual needs and response to care.
